Hello!   Well, with the colder weather settling in, it means that Dakota Nights starts recording!!  Got things together & ready the other night, ran a test song...&...we're good to go!  Now the fun starts!  No, Really!  We have a blast recording,  just as we love everthing else about being a performing duo!   These next few weeks will be devoted to recording, as well as bringing in new songs for performing. Gotta get to it now, as gig season will be hitting us fully in a couple of weeks!!  Can't Wait!!!  Take care, reader, and check back often to see how the recording is progressing!!!

Oh, did we have a great time at the Norsk Hostfest in Minot, ND!

We played 2 shows daily, for 4 days, and met many wonderful people & some of the entertainers that were there also! I can't say enough good things about the Norsk Hostfest, but I will mention a few! Our soundman, Tracy was just awesome to work with...many thanks Tracy! Our morning MC, Bob, as well as Sonjia, were so kind & friendly, as was our afternoon MC Marty. Thanks all for the great introductions before our shows! The staff at the Hostfest were very helpful, and everyone in general were so fantastic! Thank you All!!!! October 28 & 29 will find us at one of our favorite places, the Williston Moose Lodge! Bring your Dancing shoes & join us for a great time!!

Hey Everyone! Well, I was doing pretty good until June with the blogs, and here it is, almost the end of July! I'll catch you up best I can with what has been going on! The 1st weekend of July found us in the Queen City, Dickinson, ND, Playing for a very nice 50th wedding anniversary, and on Saturday, Playing for a100th anniversary at Dickinson's very own St. Anthony's club! What a wonderful place! Beautiful interior, nice stage, and a dance floor that is perfect for dancing!! We had such a great time there, and met & visited with many fantastic people, that we hated to see the night end! Thank you St. Anthony's club, for having us....it was truly an honor to share in your 100th year anniversary! Hope to come back soon! Following that weekend, it has been haying time....and time to work new songs! On August 6th you will find Dakota Nights performing at the Morton County Fair, in New Salem, ND. Make sure you can find time to stop in there, they put on a great Fair! Middle of August, the 19-20 will find us at one of our favorite Venues, the Williston Moose Lodge! Can't Wait! Amidst all of this, we are busy getting music, CD's, clothing and other things ready, for our performances at the Norsk Hostfest, in Minot, ND. We feel blessed to be among the many performers chosen to perform there this year! Dakota Nights will be performing from September 28 through October 1.
