Opening night is in the books after a delayed start of an hour and a half and many many cautions. Modified winner is #99 Shawn Strand and Stock car winner is #11 Steven Pfeifer. Complete results can be found in the results section. Monday the Tour heads north of the border to Canada at Estevan Motor Speedway in Estevan SK.

Mandan, ND—Despite an ongoing flood and a slight correction in locations, the 22nd Annual Tour is set to go this Sunday at Dacotah Speedway in Mandan, ND. Pre-registrations have already beat previous Tour bests in both IMCA divisions, so the all-time Tour single day car count number of 81--set just last year in Mandan--looks like it may also be in jeopardy. Drivers are expected from more than 10 US states and three Canadian provinces.

The series starts in Mandan on Sunday, July 10, after Minot was unable to host the opening night program due to the still flooding Souris River. The Tour then heads north of the border to Estevan Motor Speedway on Monday, July 11. NASCAR veteran Kenny Schrader will race against the regular Tour drivers for one night only at Estevan. On Tuesday, July 12 Williston Basin Speedway hosts the series once again. Southwest Speedway in Dickinson has the double-header this year on Wednesday and Thursday, July 13-14. The series wraps up its six day run on Friday, July 15 in Mandan. For the first time IMCA Stock Cars run the same dates as the Modifieds. WISSOTA Street Stocks will be allowed to run with the IMCA cars under provisions established to allow both cars to compete. Both divisions will be running for contingency prizes and points funds established by the series title sponsor—Dakota Trackside, IMCA and the Tour itself. IMCA’s National Tech Inspector will be at all races.

At all stops on the Tour drivers will be going through the crowd to raise funds for the American Red Cross and its flood support teams at Minot and the Bismarck-Mandan area.
